In AM, pro-Bolsonaro manifestants return to the streets this weekend in defense of printed vote

MANAUS – Supporters of the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro (no party), return to the streets this Sunday, 1, in Manaus and in some municipalities of the Amazon to defend the printed ballot. In the state capital, the act must keep the concentration, from 14h, on Avenida das Torres, in the north, point considered by Bolsonaristas as ‘traditional’ in Bolsonarist demonstrations.

The movement is part of a national mobilization of support for the president, which should still have acts in several Brazilian cities. In Manaus, the demonstration is scheduled to follow in a motorcade, starting at 3 pm, towards Ponta Negra, in the West Zone.

In Itacoatiara (270 kilometers from Manaus), with the organization of the movement Right Amazon and the participation of the best man and personal friend of the president, Colonel Alfredo Menezes, Bolsonaro supporters, in a “motociata”, took the streets of the city on the afternoon of Saturday, 31, with cries of “myth” and “honking”.

Besides the Amazonian cities, are expected to manifestations in capitals as in São Paulo, with the concentration on Avenida Paulista, to 2 pm ; in Rio de Janeiro, to 10am, in Copacabana; e em Brasília, to 9 am, in the Museum of the Republic.

The rallies come after a live broadcast last Thursday, 29, in which Bolsonaro makes accusations about the Brazilian electoral system and claims to show proof that the 2014 elections were fraudulent. In the broadcast, the president showed internet videos and already disproved theories circulating on the internet, with miscalculations, as possible proof of fraud in the elections.

Due to the statements of the president, according to the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, leaders of the Solidarity, MDB, PT, PDT, PSDB, Pol, Rede, Citizenship, PV, PSTU and PCdoB parties filed a request for interpellation to Jair Bolsonaro for him to provide clarification and present any documents and evidence of the statements he made against the electronic ballot boxes.
