The senator from Amazonas, Omar Aziz (PSD-AM), met with the former president of the Republic Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, this Friday, 17. The conversation revolved around the current scenario in Amazonas and Brazil.
“Today I met with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and we talked about Amazonas and Brazil. The open dialogue and the defense of democracy are foundations of politics for which I have always defended throughout my life. We talked about the current national scenario, about what was done when he was president and also when I was governor”, highlighted Aziz.
Another point agreed among them was that Brazilians cannot go without their meals.
“The sole objective of all, politicians and citizens, is to make sure that every Brazilian has at least three meals a day. It seems little, but it is necessary to work to make this happen again. Today we live in a country where people look for food in the garbage to eat”, affirmed the senator.
Aziz also said that during the chat with the pre-candidate for the presidency, Lula spoke with great affection about the Amazon.
“The president spoke with great affection about the future of Amazonas and the Amazonians. We need to move forward again. We need to think again about a project for Brazil. We need to think again about each Brazilian citizen. We need to go back to being a nation”, he concluded.
