MANAUS – The children’s shelter Lar Batista Janell Doyle (Janell Doyle Baptist Home), in Manaus, is seeking donations for the maintenance of children and adolescents hosted by the institution. The charity, located at Igarapé do Mauá Street, number 1, in the Mauazinho neighborhood, East zone of the capital of Amazonas, serves hundreds of boys and girls who are at social risk and abandoned.

“We are receiving donations from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 4pm, in an appropriate place at the shelter. Come donate, we need you!”, says a statement from the institution, posted on social networks, which reiterates the importance of donations.

Because of the pandemic, the entity has faced a drop in the number of donations. In addition, the shelter has reported that the cost of medicines and food has increased, making it even more difficult to care for the children. To ensure the maintenance of the shelter, Janell Doyle Baptist Home is mobilizing in search of donations.

Food such as chicken, powdered milk, cooking oil, natural juice, as well as hygiene materials such as diapers in sizes L, XL, XL, pads, glycerin soap, glycerin shampoo, deodorant, and toilet paper are on Lar Batista Janell Doyle’s list of needs.

The items can be taken to the institution’s headquarters in Igarapé do Mauá, or those interested in helping can make cash donations to Bradesco Pix [email protected] or Banco do Brasil Pix 63692354000164. For more information, go to https://www.larbatistamanaus.org/doacao.
