MANAUS – The Federal Police (PF) announced the change of superintendent of the institution in Amazonas. The federal delegate Umberto Ramos will assume the position. The change was communicated to the Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Mr. Flávio Dino, through a letter sent by the new director general of the body, Mr. Andrei Rodrigues, who took office on Tuesday, 10.

Federal deputy Mr. Umberto Ramos was chief of staff of the PF in the management of former Minister Sérgio Moro during the passage of the Bolsonaro Government. At the time, he held the position of chief of staff of the PF in the administration of Mr. Maurício Valeixo, number one of the Federal Police.

Valeixo was the pivot for Mr. Sergio Moro’s departure from the Justice Ministry. The former Lava Jato judge accused former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) of interference in the PF. During the crisis between Moro and Bolsonaro, Mr. Umberto left his post to take over the National Police Academy.
