MANAUS – The social welfare group ‘Raio de Sol’, in partnership with the Hospital Foundation of Hematology and Hemotherapy of the Amazon (Hemoam), is collecting empty metal containers (aerosol type). The intention is to sell the material for recycling and get resources, ensuring initiatives carried out by the group, which has as target audience patients Hemoam, located at Avenida Constantino Nery, 4397, neighborhood Chapada, South-Central Zone of Manaus.

According to the administrative head, Wellinna Gleicy Lobato Sousa, the collection has no limited time and can be done by anyone who wants to help. Those interested can leave the empty metal bottles during business hours, in block E, located on the first floor of the Hemoam Foundation.

“The idea is to convert these containers, which are usually thrown in the trash, into resources that help fund our activities. Everyone can participate, and we really want this interaction with society. For now, we only accept aerosol containers (deodorants, perfumes). In the future, we intend to open up for other types of recyclables. It is worth mentioning that we receive the containers permanently”, Wellina tells us.
