MANAUS – It is confirmed the coming of the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro (no party), to Manaus on Wednesday, 27. This time, the president’s visit to the capital of Amazonas has as one of the main focuses the participation in the State Convention of the Assembly of God in Amazonas and also the Conventional Assembly of CADB.

The federal lawmaker Silas Câmara (Republicans) confirmed to CENARIUM the president’s coming and said he is responsible for inviting the president to Manaus. “He will come at my invitation, but he will have other agendas in the course of the day that I cannot say which ones”.

In a video disseminated on social networks, Bolsonaro said it will be a day focused on prayers. “Of much grace, peace and prayers”. On September 15, Silas had already announced the invitation to Bolsonaro on the social network Instagram, at the time the congressman made a post.

“That afternoon, I was with our president Jair Bolsonaro and during our audience we dealt with issues related to Brazil, mainly, to our Amazonas. I also had the confirmation of the presence of our president of the Republic in Manaus on October 27, where he will participate in the State Convention of the Assembly of God in Amazonas of the CADB Conventional Assembly”, he wrote.

Visits to Manaus

This is the fourth time the president comes to Manaus. In August, Jair Bolsonaro was in town to participate in the inauguration of the Residencial Manauara 2 housing complex, located in the Santa Etelvina neighborhood, in the North Zone, where 500 homes for low-income families were delivered. The Chief Executive visited the capital of Amazonas in the company of the former Minister of Health, Eduardo Pazuello.

In April, Bolsonaro was in Manaus to inaugurate the second stage of the Vasco Vasques Convention Center, where he received the title of Citizen of Amazonas. In May, the president went to the municipality of São Gabriel da Cachoeira to inaugurate a wooden bridge.

The expenses with the motorcade were three times higher than the value of the work. According to the Ministry of Defense, the bridge cost R$ 255,174.38, and the expenses with the delegation cost R$ 711,795.63. The bridge was inaugurated in the indigenous community Balaio and is 18 meters long. To the occasion the subject repercuted in the media and social networks.
